As Nasty As They Wanna Be is The 2 Live Crew's third studio album. It was the group's largest seller, being certified double platinum by the RIAA. In 1990, The United States District Court For The Southern District Of Florida ruled the album legally obscene. This ruling was reversed by the Eleventh Circuit. This is the first music album to be deemed legally obscene.Reviews:

In 1990, a Florida court ruled the album as legally obscene and therefore banned from sale; this ruling was later overturned by the Supreme Court. It is the first album in history to be deemed legally obscene.
It would also be the final album to be released under the Skyywalker Records label. Following a successful lawsuit against Luther Campbell and Skyywalker Records by ''Star Wars'' creator and director George Lucas, the company was forced to change its name to Luke Records.
