Working with producer Chris Thomas, this album is as timeless as albums get, sounding as fresh as it did when released over 30 years ago.. This is the last album recorded by the original quartet of Pete Ham, Tom Evans, Joey Molland and Tom Evans. Molland left the band shortly after it's release and Pete Ham committed suicide in early 1975. This is the first commercial release of a rare 1977 US compilation LP on white vinyl, which was originally only a promotional release. The tracks are drawn from the Low and “Heroes” albums (all audio remastered from the “A New Career In A New Town” box set). Originally released in April 1992, sandwiched between their first two albums (Pod and Last Splash), The Breeders' Safari EP cxame at a time when Kim's Pixies commitments were winding down and her new band was on the cusp of releasing a platinum-selling album. Their first record to feature Kim Deal's twin sister Kelley (and the only Breeders release with both Kelley Deal and Tanya Donnelly), the EP was recorded in two studios with the bulk coming from a session in New York, which provided an early version of "Do You Love Me Now?", "Don't Call Home" and a cover of The Who's "So Sad About Us". The title track was recorded in London by Kim, Josephine Wiggs and drummer Jon Mattock (Spiritualized/Spacemen3). �This Record Store Day Black Friday release is a faithful repress of the 12" version, complete with Shinro Ohtake's 198 charcoal drawing Nairobi VIII adorning its cover.�

Sho is Funky Down Here and The Grodeck Whipperjenny are a pair of albums that are the result of an unlikely but highly productive musical relationship between James Brown, a superstar at the creative and commercial peaks of his long career, and David Matthews, a then young arranger-musician whose limited professional experience had little or nothing to do with the funk and soul of his collaborator.

James Brown�s psychedelic album, created by his then-bandleader David Matthews, and issued at the same time as Matthews� classic The Grodeck Whipperjenny. Underground, fuzzy, rambling psych-funk. The genesis of Brown�s �Talking Loud And Saying Nothing,� a 1990s hip hop sample staple, informing A Tribe Called Quest, Large Professor, Brand Nubian and others.

Lacquered directly from the original master tapes at Capitol Studios. This is the first official reissue of both of this rare titles. Contains an extensive booklet with full annotation, liner notes by Brown historian Alan Leeds and never-before-published photos.

A psychedelic rock band formed by Daevid Allen & Gilli Smyth in France in 1969, Gong became pioneers of a new brand of psychedelia/space-rock/trip-rock - with a conceptual ethos involving aliens and alternative realities. An international outfit, increasingly linked to other bands of the Canterbury scene, many musicians came and went. During a two day period (July 20-21, 1967) tenor-saxophonist Dexter Gordon and his quartet recorded multiple albums worth of material at one of Gordon's favorite venues, the legendary Jazzhus Montmartre in Copenhagen. The results are are undoubtedly among his finest European recordings. This record, Walk The Blues, is pulled from the second night of recording, and finds Dexter in an expansive, relaxed mood in front of an appreciative audience. These brilliant recordings will now make their vinyl debut on this 180g audiophile-grade LP, pressed at Pallas in Germany. Born Under A Bad Sign is Albert King�s legendary first album for Stax Records, and features Booker T. & The MGs and the Memphis Horns. The Indianola, Mississippi-born �King of the Blues Guitar,� cemented his legacy with this debut set. While he�d recorded for labels like Vee-Jay, Parrot and Bobbin, it was his chemistry with the Stax team � label executives Al Bell, Jim Stewart and Estelle Axton, songwriters Booker T. Jones and William Bell, and backing from Booker T. & the MGs and the Memphis Horns � that put King on the blues map. King�s first Stax recording was �Laundromat Blues,� included on this album. Booker T. Jones and Stax soul singer William Bell came up with the thundering bass riff that defined the title track �Born Under a Bad Sign.� The song notched #49 on the R&B chart in 1967. The album has been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and included in Rolling Stone�s �500 Greatest Albums of All Time.� This ALL-ANALOG reissue has been mastered from the original mono tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio and pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Memphis Record Pressing. The mono mix of this album has been unavailable on vinyl since the album's original 1967 release.
